For an assignment around creating a product specification, Datastorms came into the picture. The purpose of the template is to get from an existing product and its operation to an overview of functionalities and requirements for this product.
While the consultants from Van Loenen Consultancy worked on the data, our software engineers built the template in Datastorms. A fun collaboration in which the synergy between both category professionals resulted in a manageable template.
Based on the Systems Engineering method, this assignment was approached. The Datastorms template was built by the consultants based on an outline design. Because it was the first time, it was a joined effort. This way the software engineers could see where the interface needed some clarification and how the ‘business’ looks at tables and overviews. It has become a nice clear template that will soon be opened up to the client. Then further work can be done to complete both structures and associated requirements.
