Purpose of Systems Engineering 2.0, according to INCOSE: The ability to create systems that continually evolve to meet the needs of their customers, within specified time frames, while remaining reliable, cost-effective and sustainable.
How we achieve it:
- Develop and implement methods, processes and tools (MPTs) for Systems Engineering (SE) relevant to complex and non-deterministic systems. This may involve Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), which involves using models to design, analyze and manage systems.
- Gain expertise in developing evolving systems, such as architectural examples, appropriate for specific fields.
- Ensure that our workforce is capable of applying these SE methods and tools to the systems in question, including MBSE techniques.
- Apply the systems approach widely to a diverse range of disciplines and sizes, using MBSE to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the design process.
This allows us to develop flexible, reliable and sustainable systems that can continuously evolve to meet our customers' needs, while taking advantage of the benefits of Model-Based Systems Engineering in our development process.
